Once Again in the Glow of the Atom Wasteland 2

Yesterday I explored Fallout 4 quite a bit and came across them a few times. I never actually understood their point other than they use 'radiations guns' and are generally crazy.
  2. They were bomb/radiation worshippers in Fallout three who were clearly inspired past the mutant cultists in "Below the Planet of the Apes" and perhaps to a lesser degree by the Temple of the Mushroom Cloud from "Wasteland 2". (I doubt anyone at Bethesda played that game)
The basic idea behind them; nuclear ability/nuclear weapons = God right?

They are a bit of a trope now because almost every PA setting involving a nuclear state of war has Flop worshippers.
Bethesda did not even bother to try to make them stand out in any style.

  3. They were a nutty cult in Fallout three, so Bethesda decided to reference themselves and dot them all over the identify in Fallout 4. I mean, as an idea they're groovy. What bothers me though is that in Fallout 3 at least, they were worshipping the atom flop on a daily basis. Technically the confessor guy was irradiated standing in the pool, merely information technology was merely very pocket-sized. In Fallout 4 nevertheless, they're all merely normal humans camped out in what is supposed to be a modern version of the Glow. Yet they're totally fine. Non to mention the Gamma guns, they should all exist either dead or ghoulified. I was quite surprised that they didn't make them all Ghouls, equally Bethesda was incredibly liberal with Ghoulification in Fallout 4.

  4. It's funny how they can survive in the glowing ocean with all of that radiation. I hateful information technology'southward not similar each of them are hooked upwards to an Iv constantly injecting Rad Ten into their bodies 24/7 unless they contacted an entity from Skyrim to give them full radiation resistance as long as they cede their children to it. Bethesda handwavium in one case once more, but wait Bethesda just wants to take fun!

  5. It would actually exist interesting if they relied heavily on drugs, such as Rad X and Radaway. Hence they buy Rad resistant drugs at high prices.

  6. Yes Fallout four works different in regards to Fallout 2's mechanics where y'all only need to accept 2 Rad Xs to become to 90% radiation resistance while on the other hand in Fallout 4 I took 40-50 of those Rad Xs out of the 100 and something that I had on me and was still taking around 5 rads per second when I was going into that Boston puddle thing with the feral ghouls and the raiders nearby(yay for Fallout 4:Theme Park Edition!).
  7. Content filler. All merely cheap filler to give the game some false sense of pseudo-content.

  8. Is Children of Atom related to Children of the Cathedral?

Commonwealth people take loftier tech weapons for no reasons. Minutemen take light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation muskets. CoA have gamma guns. Railroad soldiers have gauss rifles.

  9. Outside of both being villainous cults, no, not really. Not that I've seen.
  10. They as well all have Power Armor for no reason.

  11. Because every post-apocalyptic globe since Below the Planet of the Apes *has* to accept a radiation worshiping death-cult, otherwise people wouldn't be able to tell it'southward post-apocalyptic.

The same reason why every mail-apocalyptic earth since Road Warrior *has* to have a bunch of raiders running effectually in chains gear, fifty-fifty if there'southward non expert reason for it or even any communities around worth raiding. What else could you possibly impale to 50s music?

  12. Another missed opportunity by Bethesda what's new.
  13. Maybe they are some kind of synths? I'k not surprised if they join the cult.
  14. Aye a bunch of nutcases continuing in an irradiated crater made from a nuclear flop with no protection around Deathclaws and radscorpions, this game has truly go some sort of sick comedy. Not similar I was taking it seriously to begin with.
  15. In that location was a guy in Whiterun (Skyrim) who worships Talos, a Nordic god for the rebels. This guy does nothing, except scream in a funny way about how awesome Talos was. Perhaps CoA has a similar... er, part?
  16. I liked that, he could take done more but it worked in the rabid preacher style.
  17. Yous could make them a cult like 'The Family' in 1971'south 'Omega Man'.
  18. I would actually look to see a Luddite faction. That would be more in sync to THe Family.

They had the Neat Simplification in Canticle For Leibowitz, people blaming advanced learning for the atomic/nuclear horror.

Aforementioned for religion in Book Of Eli.
